On this day in UK history:
12th February 1994 – One hundred people made
history by walking from France to England for the first time in millions of
years. Each person represented a charity or voluntary organisation and walked
the 31.4 miles of the Channel Tunnel. The walk took (on average) 13 hours to
complete.
