On this day in UK history:
30th December 1995 - The lowest ever United Kingdom
temperature of -27.2°C was recorded at Altnaharra in the Scottish Highlands.
This equalled the record set at Braemar Aberdeenshire on 11th February
1895 and 10th January 1982.
